Fees

Standard consultation fees

$125 per consultation with a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan

$110 for private consultations – that is, when you are not covered by a Mental Health Treatment Plan. This may still be eligible for a rebate from your health insurance fund.

Medicare Rebate:

Where there is a Doctor’s or psychiatrist’s referral and a Current Mental Health Treatment Plan is in place, the Medicare rebate is ($84.80) and may be available for up to 10 sessions in any one calendar year.

We are not able to charge the gap fee only. However if you are eligible for the Medicare rebate we can process your Medicare claim here and the rebate is usually deposited into your bank account the same day. Therefore your out of pocket cost is $40.20.

Private Health Fund Rebate

Most private health insurance funds cover psychology. With private health insurance you may be able to just pay the gap payment which varies depending on your fund and level of cover.

If your fund allows gap payment we have HICAPS facility, to make the process easier for you. If your fund is not covered under HICAPS we will provide you with an invoice which you submit to your fund to receive your refund. In this case the full fee must be paid first.
